Kimjang is Korea’s late-autumn tradition of making large batches of kimchi together, and it was added to the UNESCO intangible heritage list in 2013. The Goesan Kimjang Festival turns that tradition into a four-day event in Chungcheongbuk-do, using cabbage and chili peppers grown in the Goesan area.
